X-Factor
On our way to Delphi, for our last major site, we had go over the Rio Antirio bridge, between Peloponnese et Thessalie.. over 2 km long (longer the the Golden Gate bridge). Build for the Olympics, it was a great view and a different path for our bicycle riders.
124 km to go, and a major climb to Delphi... our destination of the day.
Little trafic, respectful greek drivers and limited wind made it a pleasant experience.
Dedicated to Rockstro and her H bridge !

Rio-Antirio Bridge
The Rio-Antirio bridge, officially called "Charilaos Trikoupis" bridge after the statesman who first envisioned it, is a cable-stayed bridge crossing the Gulf of Corinth near Patras, linking the town of Rio on the Peloponnese to Antirio on mainland Greece, thus connecting the peninsula with the rest of Europe.
