Every cloud has a silver lining
I don't usually post photos of just plain sea and sky...but in this case please allow me to make an exception..:)

"He rides and he rides
He looks through his window
What does he see? "
No bright skies... and
No stars are out tonight... for me
Temple of Poseidon
Cape Sounion is renowned for the ruins of the ancient Greek Temple of Poseidon, the God of the Sea in classical mythology. The remains are perched on the headland, surrounded on three sides by the sea.
Archaeological finds on the site date from as early as 700 B.C. The original, Archaic Period Temple of Poseidon on the site, was probably destroyed in 480 B.C. The later temple at Sounion, whose columns still stand today, was probably built in c.440 B.C
